Secondary Student Conference 2013
Secondary Student Conference 2013
The Hawaii State Student Council does not normally plan the secondary student conference, but this year 6 representatives have volunteered to becoem conference planners to continue to allow students the oppurtunity to share their thoughts! Usually the secondary student conference is held during December before the Legislative session begins, to give an oppurtunity for students to learn the legislative process and create resoluions to bring up in the new year. However this year, the conference is being held on March 22, 2013 at the Hawaii State Capitol. This all day event will allow students the oppurtunity to become famililar with the capital, meet and discuss with senators and representatives about student issues and attend hearings. Students from all over the state will be attending, all seven districts re being representated with over 200 students attending! These students will become familiar with the legislative process and assist as potential SSC planners for the 2013-2014 school year! Our student voices are very important to be heard and these oppurtunities allow the students to share their thoughts! If you would like to attend this year's SSC please contact Mrs. Tiffany Frias, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
